Our Rightful Place
Will this torment never end?..Since the day I have started
school it seems like life is nothing but tests. More and more arenas where we
have to fight our battles and trample others along the way. Every step of this
journey includes proving ourselves to the world. Like we have to fight to even
exist. And existing averagely isn’t good enough, we have to be extraordinary in
whatever we do… otherwise we would be nothing but dust to our fellow humans….Nothing
but a worthless pile of garbage who didn’t give back to the world. And when 10th
arrived??.... we were told to decide our futures..what we wanted to do in life..what we wanted to be. But
establishing ourselves in India let alone the world is an extremely hard task.
If we want to do something, if we set our minds to that particular goal…there
would be a 1000 people out there doing the exact same thing better than us. So
how do we get the chance?..will it be possible if we get a 100 on 100 in every
test?..maybe not even then…as achievement requires more than marks..it requires
mettle. And to find our mettle..we need to find something we love. Something we
wouldn't mind doing the rest of our lives and enjoying every part of it. But is
finding this so difficult that we get lost in the advancement of time?..because
looking at the current situation…..time is passing by and we have yet to decide
what we want to do. When there are so many options and so many people fighting
for the same thing we want..can we compete?..can we stand up to the world and
claim our rightful place?..or fade away without making a difference?..Most
people are lost in this wave of endless anarchy...an intense desperation to
find jobs.. earn a livelihood and moreover respect in society…that is the
ultimate goal. And each day going by lessens our chance to find success and
importance and moreover..make something of ourselves. Can we succeed in this herculean
task?..that is yet to be seen.
P.S- If you weren’t
worried about 10th before..you are now…right?...deciding what to do
can be tougher than we think..as competing and being the best at that
particular thing can be insanely hard…so we better find something we are good
at…and fast.
