The Lunchbox...(Part 2)

This post contains nothing more of the story. That's it. That's all you guys get..take it or leave it. If you want to find out all that happens...well..watch the movie!!...this post is all about my opinion of the movie. First of all...I found the particular subject of the movie surrounding the dabbawallas very intriguing and sort of new. I mean this sort of movie..you can say..it's kind of a short film....with a very inhibited and abrupt ending. this type of endings are usually seen in short stories. These kinds of films leave their watchers to wonder what's next..it keeps them in a state of constant thought..thereby allowing them to make their own respective endings according to the ways they see fit. This not only makes the film versatile but also portrays the fact that a film can have many endings. This feature makes the film different from other typical "Bollywood cliches"..having the same one-type endings which all the people are tired of and moreover used to. it is also interesting to note that films like these do not usually go well in the Indian market..not to say I'm surprised. I mean how many people can actually watch something that does not contain the same old sappy love story??...most Indians can't. they are stuck in that same old 90's film endings..going through a endless loop even in our modern times...the difference being younger actors and the decreased significance of the mother's role in the movies. But the initial plot remains more or less the same. And sadly people of India don't seem to have a problem with that. But you can't blame the people..not everybody can have an taste for intellectual movies and moreover...this repetitive form of movie making is also making the job easier for people who make movies!!..they earn millions and millions of rupees in the box office and the people are happy!!...so it's a win-win right??...well if you are an optimist..it may seem that way but me being me..also see the negative side..which is the cultural degradation of our human resources. Indian people(well, most Indian people)..cannot get out of this what seems to be an endless limbo of poorly thought out scripts and meaningless item numbers..that is eventually going to cascade them into cultural blocks. Anyway....this film was something different..something fresh and frankly..innovative. Thus, The Lunchbox gets a big thumbs up from me as it was a pleasure to watch and even a greater pleasure to think about later.

P.S- That is all from the viewer's front...hope you liked my opinion about the movie..and I strongly recommend to you guys to go and watch it.

Signing Off......Goodbye....my movie-loving humans...
