Ryan MUN 2013....Exhilarating and Pretentiously Serious...All At The Same Time.
All this while I thought that the first MUN I encountered was a big thrill.....I was soooo wrong!!..This MUN had an another feeling altogether...especially because I kind of knew what to do this time...i wasn't clueless like my first MUN..which was outside. As this one was in school...it was kind of a comfort zone for me..even though I have had my share of troubles...but who hasn't??....But all I have to say is that I actually had FUN this time...I read all my research(though lazy as I am..but this time the agenda was very interesting)...I found a certain interest in the all the different periodic timelines i was reading about...also this time I had a good country(Spain). I should have been more sensible and started debating in school first...then I wouldn't look like a complete dumbass outside...but it wasn't my fault entirely either...I didn't know where I was going or what was I going to do half the time I was actually doing it!!...But we live and learn right??(In my case as well??...I'd like to think so..at least hope so...). These two days have gone past faster than the Roadrunner running from the Wile.E Coyote...and frankly I loved the rush of it as well...going to school in formals(looking better than your horrible self..and saying to your friends "I can look acceptable sometimes").. reading about this whole new thing that you didn't have any idea about...learning to communicate as well as defend yourself in public, getting over social anxiety etc. etc......ultimately it all teams up to be a pretty good experience...even though the weather didn't help(under exaggerating here..)..but we looked past all that and had ourselves a good time. The other delegates were much more experienced that I was..but the key is to say whatever you know because if you don't there is always someone to take your place of recognition...coming to the awards ceremony....I don't have much to say..as I was not in my senses at the time..i was sitting there like a dead zombie waiting for it to finish...as I was exhausted beyond imagination...I clapped just as well as the other fully awake people but...my mind was practically sleeping...as for the awards..I didn't get any(obviously)...but some people from our school got verbal appreciations!...that's more than good enough as getting an award is just a part of the whole deal....not the whole experience itself!!...so people who tried to win awards but couldn't??...don't fret yourselves, there's always next time!!
P.S- I now realize that this post is getting excruciatingly big..so I will save you all from the misery and end it right here with this totally useless post-script..Ah..well you know how I love to waste people's time!!(one of my favorite hobbies)....
Signing Off....The Delegate Of Spain raises a motion to adjourn this post....Good day....my fellow humans..
