Rain....God's way of bringing happiness to us heat fried beings.
The beginning of rain has always kind of
fascinated me. It shows a kind of aggressive behavior in the beginning while
gentling itself in the middle. Though monsoon can bring many problems in a city
I always like to see the bright side of this so called gloomy season. A lot of
people say that this season brings a kind of darkness to the atmosphere around
us, makes everything drab and kind of colourless….but I have a different way of
looking at it. Rain though depressing to some, brings a kind of happy and
satisfying feel to my soul. But the best thing about rain is??.......any
guesses??.....the smell of wet soil. Nothing can beat the first waft of wet
soil smell.
I mean, I forget all my worries and
obstructions, I feel like I don’t have to care about the problems of the mortal
world anymore, and this feeling….believe me…is completely mesmerizing. Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with the rain
bringing elation to all living things and shit….but the idea of something cool
and refreshing after almost a unbearable few summer days is somehow welcoming. And
hell sometimes I like my world black and white, makes it way more simpler to
observe the little things we otherwise neglect in our daily hurrying and intensely
occupied lives. Oh, this is kind of the
ideal season for book lovers…there is nothing more enjoyable than cuddling up with
a good book near a big window during rain. Rain is a wonderful thing you just
need time to treasure and enjoy it…and especially if you are in a place like Gurgaon
where rain is almost as rare as seeing a live dodo.....u learn to hope and wait
for it even when there is no need…as the feeling alone is self-satisfying. As people
say, you yearn for something you don’t have and once you get it there is
nothing else to do but complain. So get out of your busy lives and look beyond
the disadvantages and cherish every moment of this monsoon season as it will all be over soon and we will go back to same extreme weather conditions we so loathe and curse.
P.S- Don’t get too excited and fling
yourself out to dance in the rain cause you WILL get pneumonia and die…
On that happy note…..I bid you adieu...(for now).

I. Agree. With. EVERY. Sentence. You've written.
