The Silent Genius...Charlie Chaplin.

Charlie Chaplin,a most ordinary man. A man who single handedly changed the world of stereotypical comedy. He produced a script with no words..no sound..just a subtle play of music accompanied by incredible acting. Just the thought of comedy without words, the concept itself seems so...well.... impossible but,he did it. He changed the way people see comedy forever. And this guy thought of this when people hardly knew comedy at all!!His actions induced laughter in old and young alike...something even words couldn't do(at least at that point of time.) His falling and tripping awkwardly and falling into all kinds of shenanigans that would raise untold frustration to those around him made him famous...his sweet face and that monumental moustache which inspired fashion lovers for years to come made him a monumental benchmark in comedic history. And the idea that he portrayed that words were not needed for good comedy..just the intelligence to do otherwise was truly futuristic for his time. He established that you don't need to hear the joke to actually laugh at it!!...and this is an inspiration for all comedians now and for years to come. Comedians of today who think useless and often offensive jokes are enough to make people guffaw are just pathetic and their attempts seem clearly forced..but we can't just blame the comedians!..people nowadays find crass jokes amusing and thus, comedians tend to react to people's needs. But whatever happened to good old comedy??..something which all of our families could sit and watch together??They seem to have disappeared behind the mirage of so called modern comedy..consisting of either extremely splastic reactions or totally inappropriate comments on things or situations that don't even make sense and often surround only a few types of cultures and vulgarity that just sneaks up in everything nowadays. All I have to say is...I want free and open comedy back...the type of laughter that belongs to all without any guilt,a type provided by legends like Charlie Chaplin.

P.S- I wrote about Charlie Chaplin today as I saw an excerpt of one of his comedies on Romedy Now..reminded me of how stupid people became as time went by..and how his type of comedy is almost diminished as only a handful of people can actually understand any of it.

Signing Off.....Goodbye...sadly delusional humans....
