This Teacher's Day...The Best Day Ever!!
It is pretty surprising to know that participation in something can actually be fun!!...I mean I neglected participation like it was an endemic disease(NOT Exaggerating). That was basically due to my unending laziness and endless procrastination in basically everything I do. But due a certain teacher who thought that I could actually do something useful for a change.....I got the chance to dress up like a blind women(dream fulfilled)...played a character of great importance(Helen Keller) and got over my stage fright(mostly) in one go. Thus, this year Teacher's Day was something to look forward to...as we all had our roles to play and did so in full interest and excitement(though it was more of nervousness that showed itself underneath it all)..but it was the most fun I had in this school for years..and believe me...I have been in this school for more than a decade(seen all the ups and downs and have criticized magnificently). Teacher's day was something that I used to avoid..thought of it as a holiday(as most of you generally do...I suppose). But this year was genuinely different..and I am kind of glad it was....as I had a whole new experience..which was fun and was time well spent(even though I had a bit of a tipsy moment changing between two performances..but I managed). So thanks to Helen Keller for letting me play her....thanks to all my classmates who helped in making this play a success(even after going through their own bouts of nervousness and extreme anxiety)..and last of all thanks to Nidhi Mam for believing that I could play such a complex yet intriguing character such as Helen.
P.S- I kind of have nothing else to say..but this post is especially for the outstanding performance of all my classmates(who handled the BLIND me...)...and ofcourse for Nidhi Mam...she is one of the best teachers I've had in years....and I fully appreciate the trust and faith she showed in me....
